The children were thrilled to come back to school after a long weekend to find that their eggs from Farmer Sarah had hatched! As of Tuesday morning, 10 fluffy little chicks were hopping around and checking out their new living arrangements!
Chick #11 was a little late to the party, so he spent some time warming up in the incubator before being moved in with his brothers and sisters. Here he is chirping and squawking away, looking for his family. As soon as he was moved in with the other 10 chicks he immediately hopped over to them and buried himself in their fluffy bodies. They huddled around him, chirping away and keeping him warm and safe. It was so amazing to see mother nature in action like that! The children were bursting at the seams to sneak a peak! Then they each got to take turns holding the chicks, gently stroking them with two fingers.
