Today several families joined Mary Ann at the annual Chinese New Year event at Snug Harbor in New York. The day began with a dragon dancer in the Chinese Scholar's Garden. 
The kids could not believe that the dragon was close enough for them to touch, and later in the day we overheard some of the kids giggling about the dragon bumping into them!
The dragon was dancing to a loud and pounding drumming.
After the dragon dance, we made our way to the Music Hall for the special dance performance.
