Drama

Each week the children in the primary classes have drama lessons with Miss Anita. They have different sessions every other month, focusing on one story in particular and culminating with a drama performance for the parents and their classmates. It is a wonderful process, with the children creating, coloring and cutting out their own costumes and props! Here are some photos from their November performance of
Tuko and the Birds: A Tale from the Philippines.

Here the children are a flock of birds, check out those wings! Here is a three dimensional basket for carrying eggs. The craftsmanship of this basket is incredible! Here are a couple of pictures of the children working on their costumes:The videos below are from their January performance of Anansi and the Magic Stick. Sorry for the poor video quality, it wasn't great to begin with but is especially pixelated and small in this blogger format. If any parents have other photos and video, please send them to Mary Ann so we can upload them here on the blog, hopefully they'll come out a little better!

Also, several new posts have been back-posted to the blog, as we're trying to fill in the gaps from November through January. If you haven't already, check them out!
