It's Diwali in Robins Classroom!

Diwali, or Dipawali, or "Festival of lights"
is India's biggest and most important holiday of the year. The festival gets its name from the row (avali) of clay lamps (or deepa) that Indians light outside their home  to signify the triumph of good over evil.

Children and parents in their finery..

Mommy came for the special day.

 Diyas and Rangoli
Ms. Bina told us all about Diwali.

Children, Parents and Teachers wishing you Happy Diwali

                                                           Time to make Rangoli

We painted oil lamps called diyas

Parents brought some delicious  treats - Samosas, Pakodas, Laddoos, Gulab Jamuns, Sheera and Chocolates. Yum....
